Golf lessons are usually provided by registered PGA (professional golfers association) Professionals. These professionals are most likely attached to a golf club or driving range, although sometimes golf coaches are freelance and cover large areas whereby they will have some deal with the golf club to use the facilities.

Most golf coaches will have an accredited golf coaching qualification or similar. More often than not golf coaches would have been playing golf for many years prior to turning to coaching at a higher level.
